GREETING:
INSTRUMENT OF APPOINTMENT

 

Whereas by virtue of section 3 of the national honours and awards act, the order of distinction is constituted and is to be governed by such constitution as may be set out in regulation made under section 7 of the act:

And Whereas, by virtue of regulation 15 of the national honours and awards (order of distinction) regulations, 1970, the honour of the order of distinction may be conferred upon any citizen of Jamaica who renders outstanding and important services to Jamaica:

And Whereas, by virtue of regulation 15 aforesaid, the honour of the distinction in the rank of commander was conferred upon you on the fourth day of august, one thousand nine hundred and ninety seven:

Now Therefore This Instrument Witnesses that the honour of the order of distinction was conferred upon you as aforesaid and that, as a member of the said order, you are entitled to hold and enjoy the dignity of such conferment and all privileges thereto appertaining.

Given at Kings house and under the seal of the order of distinction this twentieth day of October 1997.
